Even The Turtles Had Too Much Food For Thanksgiving

John and I had a wonderful Thanksgivng with family and friends north of San Antonio almost in the hill country. I think we are both dragging around a few extra pounds and I think the turtles are too. When we stopped at the farm house to talk to the renter lady she told us they had a lot of company for Thanksgivng so she told all the kids to go feed the turtles while she was getting lunch ready. She said they fed them a whole loaf of bread. No wonder we didn't see a single turtle pop it's head out of the water when we drove over the tank dam today. They are probably stuck in the mud without the energy to raise their shells to the top of the water. They will probably snub me now with my one or two slices of bread or small cup of cat food.

Glad to know the turtles weren't left out of the Thanksgiving celebration.

So glad you had a nice Thanksgiving. I think maybe those turtles know they were over stuffed and would like one or two pieces instead of a whole loaf! sandie

so the turtles had Thanksgiving dinner. They sure look bigger than I remember. Glad you and John got to have a nice Thanksgiving. We did to. We are supposed to go to Ron and Kathy's for Christmas on the 23rd for Christmas but I am not sure we will get to Joe doesn't trust our car on the highway. I will hitch a ride with one of the kids but I don't think he will. You know, the bohemian part!!!
