God Led Us Today

John lost his cell phone today. So what else is new? Everyday he loses his phone or his keys and I find them somewhere in the house. I called his number and didn't hear it ring so I knew he must have lost it in the pens where he was feeding the young bulls Joe and Moe. I told him lets go back out and look for it while the sun is shining. Something told me I could find it. He didn't want to go but I insisted. When we got to the gate he couldn't find the key to open the gate. When he started turning around to leave, so I thought. I said no, don't leave. Lets climb the gate and walk to the pens. I had such a strong feeling I could find the phone hoping one of the calves hadn't stepped on it yet. Actually he was heading to another seldom used gate which I didn't have any idea he had gone in or out of today. Couldn't find the key to it either but the phone was just out of reach on the other side of the gate in perfect condition. He had to climb the gate to pick it up and then back over. I believe God didn't allow him to open the first gate because we would have spent all our time searching the pens where he had bent over feeding. We would never have made it to the second gate or even thought of it being there. The phone is safe and the keys are found until the next time. If he would just have a place for everything and put it there until he needs it life would be sooo much simplier.

I am laughing a little here too - my problem is whenever someone misses something here - they want to know where I put it!

Fate and good fortune were definitely at work here. I'm glad you found the phone and the keys.

I hate to admit it, but I'm another Jon who is constantly losing things.

I remember from before, you saying you were good at finding things. I guess you are. I like the story, you come in very handy for ole' John. Good for you!

Joe is like that to. He panics and then I will say did you look in your jacket pocket? It's not there in a panicky voice, I say well just look one more time. 9 times out of 10 it , whatever he is looking for is there. Sounds familiar.

Any time I can't find something, I ask God to help me find it. He usually comes through.

Bill lost his glasses once while making a drive with a bunch of the hunting crew., when his nephew said, "Uncle Bill, what about the pair on top of your head?"---yep, there they were.
Glad you insisted on climbing that first gate...you're good for John, that's for sure.
Blessings and Happy New Year 2U2

Glad you found the phone. I have
been intending to tell you we
visited a friend's family farm
Christmas. I got to see some
cows with their babys. They have a Jeruselem Donkey that keeps the
coyotes away from the animals.
His name is Mo-Joe. He was so
cute and loves our friend Connie
and will come to her and when she
is not there he will hollow for her
sometime. Having lived in the City all my life this is the second
farm I had been to. I volunteered
the Church Bus to take the third grade on a field trip to a farm.
Dad didn't know it until the teacher call and said how nice.
He drove us there had a good time and Jack got to go he had not started to school and he got to ride a pony.

Saint Anthony is the patron of our house...everytime someone loses something (like once an hour) we pray, Saint Anthony, Saint Anthony..please come around....something is lost and cannot be found...
works everytime...

Haha, Paula, what would he do without you? A woman has intuition for a reason....to help find keys & phones. :)

Happy 2013.

Glad you found everything. Men sometimes seem unable to keep things, but thank the lord for the ladies who usually help them find their lost items.

So glad you found it! It would be a real shame if one of the cows stepped on it. Happy New Year to you and your family.

Hope you have your house back and all is calm. The older you get the harder it is to keep quiet.

Sounds like my husband. Only for him, it's his glasses. He wears them all the time yet loses them all the time too. Thankfully our children always seem to know where he puts them. :-)
