An Apology To Windows 8

Also to Mr.Dell my new computer and my mouse that doesn't eat cheese. I'm sorry I few off the handle as they say and made ugly faces at all of you. I'm sorry I screamed and hollered and called all of you ugly names. I thought all of you had conspired against me to swallow all my pictures. Instead you have hidden them in the confines of your intestines so I will use my brain to find them. I never liked mice in my house but I'm liking this one here so much I pet it everyday. I like that there are not a lot of wires under my desk to where I never vacuumed there for fear of un-attaching something and having no idea where to attach it back. You have to remember I didn't grow up with modern technology. We didn't even have a TV, just a battery radio for my Mama and Daddy to listen to war news. My Mama made me go outside while she listened to Stella Dallas. No refrigerator to cool drinks, just a chest with a block of ice that the iceman delivered. No bathroom, just an outhouse with a two hole johnny and no phone. I'm sorry I got upset when my new screen had fingerprints on it. I've got those neat little wipes to clean it with and then to not feel wasteful after cleaning the screen I go to one of the TV's and get enough dirt to feel okay with throwing the wipe away. I've still got a lot to learn and may never learn all of it but I have to remember when I got my very first computer I knew zip, zero, nothing. My daughter and son-in-law bought it, brought it down and hooked it up. My daughter wrote a list of steps of how to turn it on and how to turn it off and they left. I was scared to death of it. I sat in front of it and stared and thought what am I doing with this thing. Little by little, bit by bit I got braver and braver. Got into trouble sometime, had to call son-in-law a few times, a tech a few times but here I am. Please accept my apology Windows 8, Mr. Dell, and mouse who doesn't eat cheese. I'll keep trying to learn more and more and I'll try not to bad mouth you anymore.

I still haven't tried win8, I went out of my way to get a new win7. But it is a Dell... I cannot apologize to Dell, they have some crazy minds working there and I still am not in love with the new one. Now it makes this 'R2-D2' sound, every so often and I trust it not.
Good that you found your pictures... but too bad you had to go on such a hunt.

NEW computers are a handful, that's for sure. Glad you're finding your way around it.

A few months ago I had to buy a new desktop. Georgia son was here the weekend before he checked out the old computer and told me my video card wasn't working, Instead of fixing it I bought a new one and after he told me I wouldn't like Window's 8 I went a head and bought one. I'm slowly getting use to it. Lol. Take care, Jean

I love your attitude. I also remember not heaving a refrigerator. We NEVER had a TV until I married Sherry then bought a $25 worn out one with enough snow to cool Wisconsin. hahaha
You lady are one spinner of tales. Thanks for the entertainment and history lesson. One I can relate too!!!!

We hate change, don't we? And then before you know it we decide, "Oh, this is wonderful!"
Welcome to my world.

I need to let my mother read this one, lol. I bought her a laptop and her version of using it is to wait for us to turn it on and her tell us what she wants to see on it. she needs to just dive in and start using it and I know she'd get used to it.
