A Rabbit Game

I was doing yard work today and I ran across the biggest plastic rabbit under some foliage. A little worse for the wear now with dog teeth marks all over it. When I first bought my house there were lots of vacant lots in the neighborhood. Wasn't long before they started building a house on the lot behind me. One of the workers brought his dog to work with him every day. Late in the afternoon when I went in my back yard my plastic rabbit that I had in a cactus bed would be missing. I would go look where the house was being built and would find my rabbit. Some time in that unlandscaped yard and sometime in the partly built house. Sometime in the closet. I would bring it home ( I'm attached to my stuff like that) and put it in the bed where it belonged. As time went on it became more and more marked from dog teeth. When they finished the house I found where the dog owner had brought the rabbit and put on top of my neighbors lumber pile. I presume so the dog couldn't get it. The dog/Paula/ rabbit game was over. Tonight when I was looking through old pictures I ran across this picture when the rabbits were new. I think the small one is buried under ivy in a front bed.

I love that you got your bunny back. Is the big one about two feet tall? If so, it looks exactly like mine:)

funny the games people play, some are fun others are just frustrating. Glad the rabbit was finally back home where it should be.

funny how the memory works with those keys that recall events.

Glad your bunny survived. My dogs love to tear up stuff. I ordered some hand cream a while back and when it came the postman left it on the doorstep. I looked out and they had the box torn up and chewed my cream into. Take care, jean
