We Need A Hibernaculum

Yep I think we need one, it's cold in south Texas. Now you know this is a word I don't use often. In fact today is the first time I've ever seen this word used, so since I have been hibernating in the house all day I thought it fitting. John fed the cattle early and I skipped out with the excuse I needed to clean house and I did and then had lunch ready when he got home. He came home with news of a new birth, calf of Ginger. This afternoon we went back out with cold but sunny. The cottontail/cow (whichever eats my treats) got lots of goodies. I didn't try to feed the turtles as I know from experience they won't come to eat when it is so cold. The new renters (owner's grandson and wife) were there working. They are expecting their first baby in February. I have a feeling they will want to fix it up nice and keep it that way. I shared some of my country tales from when we lived there such as watching a Blue Indigo swallow a Rattlesnake and watching a cat charm a Rattlesnake. A young hunting dog met us as we drove up and even went inside the house. It seemed right at home so we're thinking the old renters gave it to his brother down the highway and it made it's way back to where it lived. We spent time looking for an R-pin that goes with John's hay buggy. I've told about my luck in finding things so I didn't want my reputation to be tarnished. I have an excuse for not finding it. It was sooo cold my eyes were tearing and I couldn't see well. He stopped at MG's building material and bought two more. Cows are all taken care of so we can stay in tomorrow when it will be even colder.

Okay, so I did have to look the word up. (smile)
Okay, I will believe (just this once) about the eyes tearing up cause I have had that happen. But next time, no excuses.

Love from over here where we had a beautiful day, so DO NOT SEND that cold across the Gulf!!
Love from Orlando.....

Do you have 3 below zero weather??? Thought that might make you feel less cold. We are supposed to get "light, fluffy snow". I got news for them I don't want snow in any way shape or form.

It is 30s here in Southern Maryland and spitting snow. Like I always ask my Floridian family members, define "cold" please, LoL.
