I Felt A Boot Scootin' Boogie Coming On

We have a very nice retirement home in our town. We just found out one of John's cousins has moved in there. We went to visit her for John and his cousin to exchange family history. A gracious lady, she met us at the main door to lead us to her apartment down at the end of a long hall. As we walked I read the names on the door of each apartment. Wow! Five line dancing buddies live there but I didn't see hide nor hair  of any of them. I could hear bingo numbers being called from the dining room and near the holidays some could be visiting relatives. The walk and the names brought back good memories of fun times two times a week with the nicest bunch of ladies. No back stabbing and gossiping, just good clean fun and good exercise. I think if Boot Scootin' Boogie had sounded on the intercom I would have tried to dance right down that hall.

If people would just keep it simple and dance...life sure would be more pleasant! :-)

That is great that you felt a boogie coming on. I guess some of the retirement homes are really nice. We have some here really nice but I think I will stay in my home as long as possible. Those retirement homes are quiie expensive. Sure beats a nursing home.

I am amazed at how you can make things come alive for me. I could just see that 'Boot Scootin' down the hall.
Ahhhh, it is nice to be reminded of GOOD TIMES, I like that 'with no cossipping' Just fun.
You made my day. THANKS!

My husband's step mother is in the nursing home here I noticed while visiting her a while back it was nice and clean, and looked almost like a hospital room. We have two places of assistant living, but I'm like Lucy I want to be able to live in my own home. Lol

Paula, knowing you, you would have done more than try...you would have "boot scooted" all the way. I can see you now!
