Ramen Noodle Soup

A while back I heard they were going to build a Ramen Noodle factory in San Antonio. Now I hear it is going to be on the side of San Antonio nearest to us. John gets on fits about this stuff and will eat it and eat it and he didn't even go to college. I understand this is a staple of college students. I wouldn't know because I didn't go to college either. We like to add chopped onion and left overs such as vegetables or meat. It isn't too bad on a cold night or for a hurry up meal to tide us over not to speak of cheap. John buys large amounts and stores them in the door of the freezer. I thought he would be excited about their factory being built so near us but he didn't seem to be. Maybe he will be more excited when he hears it from someone else and relays the message to me.

I'm a big fan of Maruchan Ramen Noodles and I eat it often as a "snack". As you said, it's cheap and easy to make and it's good on a cold night.

Okay I am smiling. I really like the Ramen noodles, Sherry is on the edge of despising them. LOL Hiking they are the lightest food and not too hard to fix on the trail. So after hiking 1850 miles she is TIRED of them. Must be a girl thing.

Imma thinking that is a little snide, right? hahahahahaha

As always, you bring a smile. That cannot be beat!

My daughters lived off those noodles while in college. A good value, but salty.

I like them every now and then, but my youngest son use to eat them all the time while he was living at home. I'm sure they taste a lot better to put extra stuff in them. I had to smile at what you said about John, lol. Take care. Jean

Hearing your old news back as if it is new news - DH does that to me too. I Used to like ramen, too salty for me now. :(

Oh, my gosh! Pete does the same thing sometimes: I tell him some news or an idea, and then later on in the week he tells it to me!

Have you tried the Creamy Chicken? That's Pete's favorite.

Isn't that the truth about men ... when he hears it from someone else THEN it's a big deal!!

My kids both love Ramen, although they usually just go through spells of eating it. They'll eat it a lot for weeks on end and then go weeks without wanting it. I try to keep Eler Beth's favorites on hand, and she likes to add seasonings and extras to hers as well. It's a good quick fix when she's in a hurry or wants a snack. Actually, since Andrew lives on his own now, I don't know his Ramen eating habits. I know he cooks a lot of chicken breasts.

we used to like
the tomato flavor ramen best
they stopped making it, though
we experimented with
ramen + tomato soup
our Trish invented 'toodles'
ramen + tuna
+ other secret ingredients
if, it's too salty
don't use the
whole flavor packet
too salty?
insanity! ;)
