Shut The Door, Pleeease.

The grandson of the owner of the part of the ranch where the farm house is has made some progress on the house but he skips around. He must have ten projects going at the same time. He has the equipment and tools or gets them. He is tall and strong and seems to know how. He must be smart the company he works for provides him with a big new truck and he drives it where ever he wants as if it is his personal truck. I'm assuming they furnish the gasoline. He tore all the paneling out. Remember when that dark paneling was all the go? He sheet rocked and installed ceiling tile. Cut out a large window between the big country kitchen and the living room. Rewired, installed a new surround bathtub, all new double pane windows. First they wanted to move in, in February. Baby was born in February but no move. Now they want to be in this summer. He better get busy and for Pete's sale close those doors. It's been so windy when we go out the front or back door will be standing wide open. Any wild animal could take up residence, or a cow. When we lived out there John had a black cow I named Lupe. She followed me everywhere and right up to the back door. If I wouldn't have closed the door she would have followed me right in. Both doors need to be replaced and I can understand why he wouldn't want to do that now with moving products in and out but jeeze can't he figure out a way to make them stay closed? Is dampness good for the new sheet rock? John stopped at the house when he was working one day to tell him he had been finding the doors open. He thanked him for telling him but didn't say he would take care of it. Now the water reservoir for the house is leaking so he will have to drain it and crawl down in to repair the leak. John told him to call him when he is doing that so he won't be out there alone. He just grinned and kept chewing his gum. One laid back young man. At least he should never have a problem with ulcers.

He sounds like an ambitious young man doing all that work by himself. I hope he finishes the place so the wife and baby can move in. I'd hate to think a wild animal got in there because of the doors.

The young man won't get ulcers - I think you may. He's young, he'll catch on.

I have known one or two people like the young man. I have always wished I could be that laid back.
No dampness is not good for sheet rock. But it takes a good bit to absolutely do damage.

I think I know who is getting the ulcers.

It must be nice to have 'no worries' like this young man. I'd be a nervous wreck knowing that vagrants of the animal [and mosquitoes!!] and human kind could move in. lol

And in your previous post...tires...we need 'em on the car too, but I procrastinate!
