Were These Buzzards Waiting For Us?

John's daughter hauled some goats to market in John's little home made trailer yesterday. He told her she could leave it here and he would take it to the ranch today. Me always the worry wart talked him into going mostly all country roads as I feel the trailer is a little on the rickety side and a little too narrow for the highway. I can just feel one of those big oil field trucks nipping it and flipping it and us. As we turned a corner these buzzards were there waiting for us. They didn't even have the courtesy to fly off when John stopped the truck so I could take their picture. If something happened to us I wanted them to be able to be identified. Anyway we got said trailer to it's little spot where it sits when not in use. Everything is looking so green and pretty. The stock tank is full of water and the cows are not even begging. He did burn one burner of gas and some of the cows didn't even come to eat cactus. Of course we had to ride to the back forty (my favorite place) and on the way we saw our little flock of wild turkeys and when we got to the back there was on hen alone back there so we turned around so as not to frightener her too much. On the way back we also saw one mid size wild hog with mud all over it's back. I guess we interrupted it's lounging in the dry creek bed which has some water in places. It didn't take time to look us over. We found another new calf looking around trying to figure out the world and what it's all about. By the time we finished everything we needed or wanted to do it was almost noon so where did we go? To a Mexican café in Charlotte, Texas but we opted for a salad and iced tea. You can just eat so much Mexican food. Not sure the picture of the buzzards is going to publish but you know what they look like and they aren't pretty sooo for now bye and God bless.

When we see buzzards Sherry always says keep moving.

You are a worry wart, get out there and get in competition with them Big Oil field trucks. Show 'em what for! LOL

Yeah there are times when caution is wise.....

Love from South Carolina..

Nothing like buzzards in waiting! lol The cows must be happy and content with the green grass to graze on :) I had to chuckle at the "had a salad" because one can only eat so much Mexican food. Have a wonderful week!

I do not know what I would do if I saw a wild hog out and about. Especially one lounging about in the mud.

I think I would have a lot of fun spending a day or two with you to see all these things.

I can always relate to your posts. I wonder about the goats. Around here, suddenly goats are worth a fortune! I haven't figured out why as yet, but I will continue to ponder why anybody would pay $500 for a goat.
