Feeling 100

A few weeks ago I found a gift card to a grocery store in the middle of our street. Yes I picked it up even though it had tire marks on it. I've got to check this out I thought it might have $100.00 credit on it. I know not likely buuut. John thought I was crazy, he doesn't take time to fiddle with things like that. I had no way to know who the card might have belonged to and they should have been more careful, but the thought of money kept haunting me so I put it in my back jeans pocket intending to go to that store to check it out. Every time I changed jeans I changed the card too. Even made a trip to the store to check it out and by the time I got up to the cash register the card was far from my mind. When I took it out today it was bent from being in my pocket. I tried it in one of the machines and it wouldn't work. I'm still thinking $100.00, maybe? So I took it to one of the checker girls and told her it wouldn't work for me but I needed to see if there was any credit on it. She worked with it and low and behold I got $1.00 off my groceries. Well I was feeling a  one, wasn't I?

I would have to check it out, too. And one dollar is still amazing :) I wonder if somebody threw the card away thinking they didn't need that dollar.

Never look a gift horse in the mouth, especially a found treasure.

You did better than I. I found one the other day and checked and it was ZERO!
BUT yes I will check one out.

I also found a penny today in the Lowes parking lot, I smile when I find money. And of course I will pick up the penny.

I like this entry!

A dollar is a dollar, right? Good enough!

No, it was like playing the lottery without spending a dollar. ;)

Well a dollar is better than nothing :) but yes it would have been better if it were $100. Have a great weekend!
