Now Hopper Wants Seconds

This is an old picture for Beate. John leaves so early it is hard for me to get everything together, take my medicine properly, and get dressed so I drove out later. Our power was off to top it off so I grabbed an extra nap before it came on so I could see what I was doing. I transferred over to John's truck and went with him to call the cows to the pear ground. Maybe it was the weather they had to be begged almost. It was drizzling rain and sooo cool. I kept having to put the defroster on to clear the windows while we were looking for a jersey who may have had a calf since we haven't seen her in a couple of days and still didn't find her. Hopper was waiting in his/her usual spot so I put the pellets in the usual spot. When we came back Hopper was still waiting. Humm I thought I bet that little bugger ate all that food already so I walked over to see. Every morsel was gone so I decided to try something. I still had dry cat food for the turtles so I put that out and left. The weather feels so delightful. We have a chance for rain for several days to come and we'll take all we can get because this cool won't last.

It's definitely summer weather now, any chance of cool is a good one.
Love your turtles, BTW.

I know you guys are glad to see the moisture. Both of our boys commented that they saw the Medina lake area on the news talking about the drought and it was even lower than when we ere there.
Take care, like the entry.

My body is still in shock after today. It got up to 84 degrees while I was driving the tractor while Bill was picking up rocks off the pumpkin field and throwing them in the bucket. Our spring has sprung!
Your Hopper and his buddies look to be Red-Eared Sliders. You're quite the turtle lady!

It's hot and humid here at the Coastal Bend...wishing it would rain again. Alas. At least YOU'RE getting some much needed moisture. Hope it keeps coming [without flooding of course]

That Hopper...what a character!

Beate will absolutely love this picture! She loves turtles, and also frogs :-) And I had no idea at all the turtles like cat food! How cool. I hope you get the rain that you are needing this weekend. Have a great weekend Paula!

Paula, thank you so much for posting this picture for me!! I love it :) Oh how I wish I was standing there greeting the turtles and feeding them with dry cat food :) I'd love that! (And I had no idea they love eating that). I hope your power wasn't off for too long. So funny that Hopper was waiting for seconds, I wonder if he'll keep doing that every time now :) I hope you're having a wonderful Sunday!
