A Peaceful Goodbye

Not to be morbid here but I just wanted to tell you about this. We went to the funeral at this old historical church where we attend. I know I've mentioned  it before. Its on a country booney dead end road. The deceased was a deacon there for many years but he and his wife and a sickly daughter had moved away a few years ago to be near another daughter in his elderly and sickly years. His request was to be brought back here to be buried when the time came. This was the day and did the birds sing. He chose plots at the very back of the grave yard. Before the service while everyone was waiting the birds sang like I've never hear birds sing. I don't know my birds like some bloggers do, but it was beautiful. When the minister started the short service the birds just kind of hushed up. Rest in peace Mr. C.

I think the entry is in keeping with your back road tales. I loved your description of the pre service and the service.

Thanks for posting.... I do love to see the old church...

That was indeed very emotional and special. We are always at one with nature, and the birds were paying a final tribute.

What a wonderful way to enter heaven. God sure knows how to turn a sad day into a good one, doesn't He. Mr. C chose a beautiful to rest by.

Very touching. I like that.... the birds just kind of hushed up.
There is nothing better than to hear the chatter of the birds. It just says "everything is normal"
