Just a country girl kicking around the dirt roads taking pictures of trees, gates, animals. cactus, and anything else that strikes my un-fancy mind. You are welcome to take a look and come back if you like.
That is an interesting old tree. Looks like it has fought many battles but has won. Our little town of Pilger that was wiped out a couple of months ago had lots of trees, some very old and there was not as tree left standing, no buildings stood. A little girl was killed and her mother was in the hospital with a skull fracture so she is just finding about her daughter.

It's certainly full of character. I'll bet it's grouchy too!

What an unusual trunk. Neat.
Indeed!!!! What a fabulous work of nature's art.
I am always drawn to the unusual in tree/rock formations. This one is GOOD!
Thanks.

Glad to find another Texas blogger. That tree is similar to one in our neighborhood. You can't even imagine how it has survived in its condition.
It looks like it is jumping out toward the road and saying "Boo!"
Looks like one in the forest on the Wizard of Oz that came to life and threw their apples at Dorothy!
