Cow Rebellion

This is an old picture, you would be hard pressed to find any grass this green on the ranch these days. John wants to sell a cow and some large calves this coming Tuesday. The cowboy will come to load and haul tomorrow. Our cowboy has cancer but is still working so John wanted to have as much ready as possible so cowboy won't have as much to do. Guess who got to stand in the gate and flail her hands around like a wind mill? Guess who got to drive over the tank dam honking the truck horn like an idiot trying to fool the cows into following. It was 103 here today, the cows were standing under trees. They rebelled, they ran every direction except where we wanted them to go. So we let them be. It will be cooler in the morning and they will be calmer and probably cooperate nicely.

Ah ha, rebellion in Texas! But General John and his executive officer will take care of that... All you need is one more day of arm exercise..

Good luck..

...hope you get 'em rounded up this morning!!!

That temp you showed would be enough for me to stay at the water tank instead. Or under a big oak tree. Phew...too hot.

In weather that hot, I can't blame them for rebelling LOL. I wish the cowboy a full recovery from his cancer.

They went and got in the shade and you had to wave your arms and exercise in a 103! lol

I can only imagine, lol. I guess the flailing of arms did not help cool anything off in that Texas sunshine, bless you. Hope they were more cooperative!

103? Oh boy, I don't think I'd run anywhere ;) I hope you managed without trouble the next morning! :)

Thank you so much for your sweet comment! I've missed being here so much. I hope you are doing well. Have a wonderful and hopefully not too hot day today :)

Our temps haven't been quite that high but our accuweather "real feel" temp has been running 108-110!

Thanks so much for the welcome back. I've thought about you often. Its so good to reconnect! :)

Stubborn critters for sure. Believe it or not this big city raised retired teacher has helped our friends and neighbors round up some uncooperative cows himself...:)
