Old Fads

This is the photo I used for Throwback Thursday in Facebook today. Was this fad just a south Texas fad, men wearing feathers on their cowboy hat? Mel (my deceased husband) wasn't one much for fads so I was surprised I got him to wear this. We were at a country/western dance planned for employees and their families by the company he worked for.

I remember those feathers!!! I don't think it was just South Texas. And LOVE your butterfly visor in your selfie photo below this post, too, Paula.

I remember , but never had them. But my Sherry said: WOW Mel looks like Joe Gibbs (Redskins coach). I said don't say that too loud you know SHE and MEL had to be Cowboy Fans, arch enemies of the Redskins. (smile)

Looks like someone we would want to know...
Love from a COOL Pennsylvania...

hmmmmm.....I'll bet my daughter would remember that fad....she went line dancing three times a week back in the 90's....I'll ask her....as far as I go, never saw a hat with a feather quite like that one. You must be some woman to get your man to wear that hat! :)

I remember hats with feathers. Mine was light colored and had light blue and white feathers. I also had string of feathers on a clip that we clipped to the band I believe. I think later I hung them from my rearview mirror in my car. So Alabama had some...ha. Take care, Sheila
