Warning: Brown Widow Spider

We got this warning today. I had never heard of it. It hangs out much like the Black Widow under rocks, trash, or dark parts of your home. Instead of being shiny black the Brown Widow can be any color from sandy to black depending on the age. It's legs are two toned with alternating sections of colors. The Brown Widow has an hour glass shape of yellow or orange instead of the red. Their bite tends to be a little less intensive then their famous cousin but not to be ignored. Stay safe, watch where you put your hands when doing work around the house or yard.

I know a Blond Widow very much like the Black Widow, human-version. I'd never heard of a brown widow either.

I learned about them several years ago. We have both black and brown widows all over here! They are always creating nests on my patio!!

This is a new bit of news for me...never heard of the brown widow. Now I have MORE to be squeamish about...and not sure I want to do any yard work.
