Troubles Come In Threes

We can still find something to be thankful for though. John had a wreck in his work truck early Thursday but thank goodness no one was hurt and he can still drive his truck. The other people weren't so lucky. Their large truck had to be towed and the driver didn't own the truck. Then this morning I discover water on the edge of the street. Surely if it had rained I would have known. On closer inspection there is water all the way from the house to the street. Thank goodness one of John's sons does plumbing. The only draw back is he has to come tomorrow on his day off and it is supposed to rain. As much as I want the rain that will be a mess digging in the yard and men going in and out of the house with muddy shoes. In all the confusion of us trying to find where the water is coming from I misplaced my truck keys. We looked everywhere. Thank goodness I had the sense to have an extra made and put it in a safe place. After using the spare to go eat since I don't want any dirty dishes sitting around with the water cut off I moved the cushion on a chair and my key had fallen down in the crack between the bottom and top cushion. So that's three, so now if the plumbing gets resolved without the leak being in the foundation we'll be ever so grateful.

'If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all'. Sounds like one of those kind of days. Hope all the bad luck is gone and you have a great weekend! Sheila

Paula, I'm really sorry to hear about all of your troubles. Everything always happens at once. I'm glad that John wasn't injured in the accident, and I hope your plumbing problems are resolved soon.

It is a very rainy day here in west TX.

Sorry about the leak, that's not good. Also sorry about the wreck, that's really not good. Where is #07 while all this is happening?

Glad John is ok and his truck is still drive-able. I like a set of keys in a safe place, I have learned the hard way (smile).

Plumbing? Just what I have been doing today. I like new plumbing work, but older work can be tough. I had one bit of luck today on a bad leak, it only took a couple turns of a wrench. I hope yours is that simple...

Goodluck all the way around, it is time...

I'm glad that John wasn't hurt, I hope you get the plumbing fixed soon, it's nice that he has a son that can do it. We have had our share of needing a plumber and takes a week for them to get here.

Keeping my fingers crossed it's NOT the foundation that needs to be torn up for plumbing repairs.

It's good to read that your husband was not injured.

My dark side could have embellished this into a full-blown disaster, but you'all seem to be handling it well.
