Just a country girl kicking around the dirt roads taking pictures of trees, gates, animals. cactus, and anything else that strikes my un-fancy mind. You are welcome to take a look and come back if you like.

What Do You Think?
Number 07 still has not had her calf (calves). John put her in the pen so we can find her to check which we did early this morning. Okay he says it will be born tonight. Yeah right! He wants her in the pen because sometime when they have twins they will lick the first one off and walk off and leave the second one not realizing there is a second one. This is on 400 or so acres so he may not notice there was a second one. He is thinking there may be since she is so big and has had twins before. I had an exciting experience this morning. After chores we were riding around the place just to see if we could see any deer or turkeys. We happened on to a young rabbit eating a pear apple in the road. John stopped so I could get out to make a video of it. I got within two feet of it and it never stopped eating. I guess anything that is starving will take a chance. The pear apples are the fruit that grows on cactus. The cows like them but John said he had never seen a rabbit eat one. It was so cute trying to get it in it's mouth and kept dropping it. Well it was exciting to me.

I suppose the poor thing was needing fluids as well as nourishment. I hear that it's very dry there right now. Lucky you, to get a shot at it.
Oh - yes, good idea to keep #07 where you can keep an eye on her. I hope it's a good birth!
