You Don't Miss The Water Until The Well Runs Dry

John is 80 years old today, it doesn't seem possible. The plumbing is fixed without much expense or trouble. I think it was a fitting that connects from copper to PVC. Has been seeping a long time and finally surfaced. Cow number seven is still in the pens and still no calf. I've never seen such a miscalculation in my life. Our neighbor is an ambulance mechanic and says he can pull the dent out of John's truck and he also says he is going to make John a birthday cake. What a good neighbor! John has done him some favors and he remembers. John's son and grandson fixed the plumbing  without charge so the world is level again for now.

Glad things are getting fixed. Weird about the cow not having the calf yet. Miscalculation, indeed. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to John.

Happy Birthday to John. What a nice neighbor to bake him a cake, and nice to have a son that can do plumbing the one I used charges $50.00 an hour maybe $75.00, ha, that was what I paid him the last time he was here. He told my daughter in law he charged $50. Take care, Jean.

Happy Birthday John!!! Maybe, just maybe there will be a brand new calf for his birthday!! I picked out two heifer calves, due to be weaned soon, from my Brother in laws herd. They'll be coming home soon and I am kind of excited. It's been a few years (due to the drought) that we've had cattle. My Mother in law gave us a bull calf that is going to get cut and fed for the freezer...Home grown beef, yummy!
