I posted a picture of this before but I am still awed by it. After asking around on Facebook some say it is called Grandpa's Whiskers and Old Man's Whiskers. I had never seen it until a few years ago it took over the country around here. Some grows on fences and anywhere it can get hold. Some just takes over the ground in bunches. I wonder where it came from and if any of you other Texas ladies have it growing on your place or if it is just a south Texas plant.

I don't think I've ever seen it before. LOVE the name.
I've never seen it and wonder if it can be spun like cotton, it looks like it could.
Golly, I think I just saw some on a birding trail here just northwest of town near some ponds...along a fence line also.
Didn't know what it's named tho, 'til you enlightened us.
