Just a country girl kicking around the dirt roads taking pictures of trees, gates, animals. cactus, and anything else that strikes my un-fancy mind. You are welcome to take a look and come back if you like.

Speaking Of Railroads
We were weren't we? This is a picture of our depot that has been moved to the grounds of The Longhorn Museum. The train still goes through town to pick up coal south of town, but no depot to pick up passengers.
Railroad 'stuff' always conjures up memories of standing on an overpass to smell the trail smoke. Probably wasn't good for us, but I sure liked the smell of the old steam engines..
They took most of the train tracks up here in our small town, I miss hearing the train whistle. We still have the depot and they have Halloween and Christmas for kids. They have done a lot of work on it since the train quit coming through. I like picture of your train.

LOVE it. What great history there.
Our depot is now a library, all the tracks have been taken up.
I used to love riding on the train.
I love historical facts of anywhere in Texas...since I'm still learning the 'old days' of the state.
Thanks Paula.
