A Good Day For A Hamburger
Since someone said report, I will. It was a beautiful day so we drove up to Leming to The Home Plate. It was worth it, very good. The best we've had in a long time. It's in a small house that has been adjusted to make a café. It's decorated with old signs. The windows have red and white café curtains with just the bottom covered so the light and sun can shine in. The two ladies who are the owners are very welcoming and friendly. All the burgers have names pertaining to baseball. We ate The Rookie. 1/4 lb. Angus beef patty with mustard, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and red onion. They make a Grand Slam, Umpire, Fast Pitch, and so on. They have a few other things such as Chicken fried steak, chili, and BLT's. The Home Plate should succeed but not another customer graced the door while we were there. I wish them well and we will go back and we will spread the word.
