Notice the cactus growing on the fence. Remember the picture of cactus growing on a house near our neighborhood? Not unusual to see it growing in the fork of a tree. Doesn't take much dirt or water. Also notice the tiny wild flowers through the fence. Someone went to a lot of trouble building the unusual fence. Some pretty days, looking forward to spring and wild flowers.

cute! like a tiny planter area. :)
Nature always amazes me. Funny plants like this volunteer and I cannot buy one to live. hahahaha
I like the fence design. That was once the leading fence design on the mid east coast, then Kentucky & Ill when Lincoln split them rails. SMILE!
Cool fence. Spring can't get here soon enough.
Wow - a cactus on a fence. How unique!! :)
Cactus is my kind of plant, They grow under any condition and live on and on without water. A very peacful picture.
That's so neat that the cactus is growing there :) Makes the fence even more amazing.
Thank you so much for your sweet comment! I can't wait to share the pictures and I'm happy we can make you all smile with our story. That means so much!
Have a wonderful day, Paula.

(i linked your post to good fences today!)
I can never remember what those fences are called. They used to be really popular in Arizona around ranch-style homes.
The cactus must be a hearty plant to grow on a fence.. Great find..Have a happy day!
Great fence and nature finds unique places to grow. Lovely photo.
I am visiting from Good Fences and live in Texas too.
Enjoyed my visit here.
A good heavy fence with so much beauty. I'm a Texas girl too. I always enjoy meeting my home state blogging friends..
Cacti are amazing how they can adapt themselves to growing in difficult places.
I love seeing plants growing in strange places...there used to be a small tree growing in the top of one of the old buildings down town, and stupid me, I never took a photo of it. It is now gone.
it does serve well as a great planter! Nice capture.
Hardly little cacti growing on that fence. Neat shot.
Nature will always find a place to grow and that is a wonderful fence
Here in Alabama it would be fern or a trailing vine. Nice fence!
Nice, unusual fence - I like it.
Nice fence but I would like the shot of the cacti a little bit greater.
