Texas Pride

Texas even has pride in their water towers. When I was growing up I never thought I would see the day the people in the country would have city water. The writing on this tower is Benton City Water but it is in the country and serves many houses and businesses with good water. Benton City Water Company is on a country road where I lived when in the second grade. A Road with a muddy hill that the school bus couldn't climb if it rained a lot. This water tower is on one of the country roads I like to explore. Isn't it nice people living in the country doesn't have to deal with broken pumps, windmills and all the problems that go with having water in the house?

Having running water is a treat for me. Many years, we only had well water you pulled up with a bucket. I am glad somethings have changed for the better.

Oh yeah, well pumps are great when they operate, but that is the most touchy machine I have ever tried to adjust and frustrating when they are not working correctly, amd nostly because of the importance of them. There was a time you could draw water if the pump broke, but not any more.

I was surprised at the number os places that have water piped in to the county now. Florida has a lot of that.

I love water towers. They have so much character for something so functional.

Oh, my. Water towers are phenominal landmarks. But now the law forces even coop water to add all this crap to it that changes the taste. I'd rather have our jetted water out of our own well.

i am really glad to be on municipal water supply service! no wells running dry - just have to worry about the local lake level.

Having running water is a blessing. We have municipal water here but we have lived with well water and aerobic water too. Great photo of the water tower.
Thank you for stopping by and your kind comment.
Have a nice weekend.
