Are You Looking For A Four Leaf Clover?

The Whole ranch is covered with clover. We have never seen this much. The rains were just right, a lot of them slow and soaking in. The cows love it, but can eat too much and bloat. There are ways to take care of it if you know they need help. You can puncture a certain area to let the gas out. Some put a stick in the cow's mouth then make her walk. Now they make a Bloat Block that cows like to lick to take care of the gas. John bought several today.

Yep, I remember when I was a child and dad and a lot of neighbors had to do this to the cattle because of clover. Lots of work that never ends when farming/ranching.

Don't think I remember that from the farm, but I do remember the salt blocks that were out in the pasture for them to lick on. Poor cows, all bloated up!

The life of a cow. Interesting. Never heard of Bloat Blocks before. I love looking for 4 leaf clovers. Bet you have quite a few there.

Ahhh those blessing and the curse. The clover does look good enough to eat. WE all know 'GAS' in the tank is good, but 'GAS' inside us is NOT. Several times I coulda used a 'bloat block'. (smile)

Looking for 4-leaf clovers must be one of childhoods most fun times, especially finding one to brag about!
John should teach the girls to look for 'em instead of eating them all. (smile)

I never knew that clover could make cows miserable. Perhaps a four-leaf-clover should be included with the bloat block.

I hope your back is getting better.

Wish my yard looked this green. The grass is not growing but the weeds are.

What a beautiful view, that's green grass, that I miss so! Yes, I even have a few 4 leaf clovers stuck in books, and I catch myself searching for them all the time! I still love that cow's face just starring at me here (from your blog) as I type. Too cute.

Sometimes I ask myself what is it about a cow's face that is so charming!

I just looked at your Feb 3 post. I don't have any helpful advice about your problem except: Lord, please help us all with our back problems!!!
