No Bull

You would be surprised at how many people think an animal of the bovine family with horns is a bull. This cow does not belong to John. We spotted her near a fence on one of our country road rides and she was agreeable to pose.

Wow! Serious horns. I assume that a famous "Texan Long horn"? None of people here who raise cattle have them. Sort of a funny story. Small herd of young steers and heifers are grazing in a pasture where I walk the dog. She goes into a barking frenzy when she sees them, only instead of running away, they surge toward the barbed-wire and stand there in a group watching her. Well, it was funny. I guess you had to be there.

She's got amazing horns. It just seems with horns that impressive that they would belong to a bull.

Now that's a real longhorn. A lot of people around here think they have longhorns when in fact they're just that Zebu breed that has been crossed with other breeds.
