The Birds

This is only a small portion of them. They weren't even too afraid of us. Eerie. The neighbor called last night to say someone had cut his tall deer proof fence between his place and where John's cows are. They surmised it must have been the coyote (driver of truck hauling illegals) a few weeks ago. We checked it out but he had already repaired it. Then we drove over near the stock tank where they hit a tree and all bailed out and ran. I found the brand new FORD emblem off the truck. John found an easy open can of Granos De Elote (whole kernel corn). Hope this wasn't all of one man's lunch but it may have been as they have to travel light. I have to feel sorry for them trying to make money for their families. Not easy for the ranch owners with the damage. Case over until the next time.

i am grateful we don't have that problem up here (nor do we have enough acreage for anyone to cut through). it has to be terribly frustrating, yet, as you said, the illegals themselves are trying to scratch out a life somehow.

we had HUGE flocks of blackbirds this week during the snow and ice! yikes!

It is a shame that you have to put up with this problem, over and over again. Sad indeed.

I guess the birds wanted to watch. I bet they saw who cut the fence into the next door neighbors place!!(smile)
Yes there are tow sides to the coin but one hates to pay a price when damage is done to THEM!
Spring will come soon, Imma thinking. (Am I a prophet or what? :) )
