Sad Morning

We couldn't bring ourselves to head to the ranch this morning. Yesterday there was a terrible crash in the little community, Dubowaski, where we travel to the ranch. A lawman was transporting a juvenile to a facility in the next town over and crashed head-on with a large truck. The lawman was killed and the juvenile and the truck driver  were taken to San Antonio in critical condition. No witnesses, so no idea what happened. The farm to market road is narrow and even though the highway department is always trying to keep it repaired the large truck traffic keeps it dangerous with pot holes and pieces of old tires from blow-outs.

oh, i'm so very sorry. even when you don't know the people involved, it still shakes the entire community.

Really sorry to hear that. I expect things like that on our narrow country road - too many big trucks taking the 'short-cut' at highway speeds.

Your community must be stunned by this tragic turn of events. So very sad.

That is a horrible tragedy and, I'm sure, one that didn't have to happen. There are a lot of reckless trucks on the narrow mountains roads where I live.

It seems the smaller the community, the harder things like this hit. A sad part of life.

So very sad, prayers for everyone involved. The roads and the traffic are terrible since this oil boom. I prefer to stay home if at all possible.

One is never ready to accept something like this, especially when it happens in a small community because things are always so peaceful.

Indeed, very sad.

Around the FM roads, it seems that most times, everyone goes way too fast for the conditions of the roads.

May the victim of the accident rest in peace. And the others in critical condition, survive and get well.
