Ladybug Ladybug Fly Away Home

This little Ladybug was crawling as fast as it could. It seemed to have a purpose in mind. It made me think of the little red bugs that used to come out after a rain when I was growing up. They were about the size of a Ladybug but they looked like red velvet. Does anyone else remember them or know what I'm talking about?

Nothing like that in the Los Angeles/Orange County area, no. Sorry. Love ladybugs. :) Scoop her up close to sunset, and deposit her on a rose bush! :)

Ladybugs are so cute. I love them. I used to photograph them back in the day. Your pic is sweet. Never heard of those velvety bugs you describe.

Cow ants look kind of velvety, but they sure don't feel that way if they sting you! I'm not sure I know what you are talking about. Perhaps it is a West Texas thing.

I don't remember a velvety bug. But I do remember lady bugs, we used to fish for them! LOL with a weed down in their holes. Never caught one I think!
