Sunflowers are everywhere this year. Even filling vacant lots in the towns. These don't grow big around like the ones to harvest to eat or for birdseed. Owners of farms and ranches don't like them because they sap the moisture from the grass for the cows to eat and the cows don't eat sunflowers. Too bad they don't because there is an abundance of them. They are photogenic in a big seemingly never ending field.

They are pretty. Hope your week is going well. Take care, Sheila
I didn't know they sapped the moisture, and I didn't know that the cows didn't eat them. Maybe they give them gas! ;-)
so cute! is that you, my dear? :)
Pretty anyway, too bad about no seeds for the birds.
I love sunflowers and I had them everywhere that I lived in Texas. I'm going to plant some here on my property in TN.
Nice to see you with the sunflowers...
I love this pose of you with all the sunflowers!!
The sun flower is an amazing plant. I love to admire them as they follow the sun.
Yeah it is too bad that they don't make good cow feed.
I love seeing big tall sunflowers like this.
GREAT photo. I LOVE sunflowers. I did not know that they sap the moisture from the grass. Interesting.
