Trouble Causer

I should know what kind of bird this is, but I don't remember. A few days ago as I was cleaning the kitchen there were birds flying and diving and chirping out side the storm door. I stepped outside the door to see what had them so upset. They seemed to be mad at me, the hummingbirds eating near by, and at the world. As I walked in the grass A young bird was flipping around. I guess the whole clan was trying to teach the young one to fly or more likely it fell out of the nest and they were all worried about it's safety. I left them alone to figure it out.

Sometimes you want to help, but most times I THINK, it best to do as you did. They have probably had the problem before...

It does catch your attention thought..

I would guess swallow.
Looks like the one we had last year, the shed had mud nests hanging on the side of the lean-to.
We left ours alone too, it either got brave or the alternative.

Leaving them alone to work things out was the right decision. It's a sweet little fella. Hope in the end everything was ok.

It's always hard to walk away and leave a young bird alone, but all too often any intervention on our part doesn't work out very well. Hope he finds his way. Have a beautiful 4th!
