Going East Or West?

They have been working on the farm to market road for a while. In places the traffic can only go one way. While the going east traffic is moving the west traffic is stopped at a red light. Looks strange to see a red light in the country. Now that they have moved the traffic light it is tricky to get out on the main road sometime. If there are no vehicles at the time you don't know which way the traffic is moving. We have to wait for the line of vehicles to come by the gate and join in at the end unless of course they are going the wrong way to where we are going then we have to wait for the light to change then join in that bunch. Clear as mud? Maybe all of you are used to this but it's new to us. We were always familiar with following a pilot truck in construction.

i have a pilot truck on my road to town during construction. but there's a traffic light installed a bit south of my turn-off on a fm road, so i know there are traffic snarls there often...

We ran into one of those lights one time. I forget where, but there was no traffic, the light was in the middle of nowhere. I started to go, but then I saw traffic coming on my side and thought I had better mind the light.

Strange traffic patterns do frustrate we that have our own pattern laid out.
Good luck with minding the light.
PS: I do prefer the pilot truck! LOL

The older I get, the more I dislike driving. And it can be just as frustrating out in the country as it is in the city.

Frustrating does not begin to describe all the roadwork here. Seems every avenue for getting from A to B is blocked. I feel for your traffic woes there. Stay the course and eventually you'll get there whether you have to stop or not.

The first time I encountered this type of thing, was here in TN. I honestly thought it was a TN thing for the longest time. LOL.
