Do You Ever Regret Not Buying Something?

On a whim I stopped at my favorite Thrift store even though it isn't Senior Discount Day. I found a dressy brown and black blouse to wear to church. As I was walking out by the jewelry counter I spied a black bow pin that would go perfect with the blouse. Oh well I had already checked out. Wouldn't have taken but a few minutes to price it and pay for it. Go get it tomorrow, no, it was in San Antonio. Maybe it would still be there and maybe it wouldn't. Do you shop at Thrift stores or are you like my friend who wouldn't buy a water bowl for her dog there? The only problem is you find so many good or even new things and know how much they would cost in a regular store so you (me) are inclined to buy things you really don't need. I also bought a jewelry box which I do not need. It is wood and heavy. The top opens up to reveal little sections to keep rings in. It looks like a mini chest of drawers with a bottom drawer to put maybe bracelets in. $ 1.41, I couldn't believe my eyes, had to check several times. Made so well and painted aqua. Does it match my bedroom? No. Gave me a lift, but I wish I would have bought the pin shaped like a bow.

I call what you're experiencing BUYER'S REGRET. You won't stop thinking about it until you see if it's there when you next visit. If it is, you were meant to have it, if not, you weren't.

This happens to me a lot. I shop online and I don't grab the bargain [I need] when I spot it. I have now learned that when they say '1 left' that they mean it.

I hope you and yours had a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and are having a very HAPPY NEW YEAR. May we display your header on our new site directory, SiteHoundSniffs.com? As it is now, the site title (linked back to its home page) is listed, and we think displaying the linked header will attract more attention.

i was taught the value of the penny and nickel. Used cars and many times used tires. yard sales and Thrift stores are logical places to shop. We were shopping for a mirror for Sherry's make-up table and walking our of the thrift store I spotted the EXACT size needed and it was 'sorta elegant' with gold trim, $20. We had been looking and the best we priced was $45. Sherry loves the mirror. That is the same place she found the couch and chair.
Can she afford to shop UP TOWN now? Of course but some things make sense. AND yes, several things I WISH I had bought, one is a chair for Sherry's computer spot, but it is gone now. LOL
Good entry!

I used to donate, then shop at thrift, but after a bed bug scare in our area years ago, I got spooked, so no longer. I do love a good bargain now that my circumstances have become a bit reduced, but I find deals that are surprisingly good in low-end stores like Boscovs & Big Lots.
Yaah! to anything that gives you a lift. Maybe you should make a special trip just for that bow.
