Are You Blue On Monday?

LV at Meme's Corner has a pretty blue picture for Blue Monday but I'm not blue on Mondays, are you? Monday is my favorite day of the week and has been for a long while. I think of it as a new start and I don't know what is going to happen, good or bad. We're not big week-end people. On Sunday we do the same thing most every week. Go to church, eat out, take a nap. then it is almost time for our Patty Melt. Our waist lines are beginning to tell how many of those we have consumed in the last few months. We live very near a Whataburger. By chance we tried a Patty Melt and that was it, we're hooked. We can share one as it has two large hamburger patties, grilled onions, and melted cheese on a toasted bread. We add a medium fry (bad), and two senior drinks. I had planned to clean out my storage shed today to celebrate my un-blue Monday but we had a beautiful rain last night so walking in the wet grass is out. Maybe I'll just take a long nap.

I'm not blue on Mondays either. I only get blue around sadaversaries. Your patty melts sound delicious. I could eat on now. It's lunch time! ;-)

Half a patty melt & half an order of medium fries is not an over-indulgence. Anyway, you lost some weight to illness & this sounds like a good way of putting some back. Protein & all....

That Mary has a way of making a great comment, doesn't she. Love that girl. No, I am not blue on Monday. I don't think I ever have been. I never will forget driving into Texas and seeing a Whataburger. We had them in the 1950's in North CArolina but they closed down. I remembered one of those burgers could feed two people. So of course he had to stop for a Whataburger! Next time down we will try the patty melt.

Isn't it nice to do what you want any day of the week. The patty melt sounds yummy!

Most of the time I see Mondays on the blue side, because Monday commences the work week. When staying home with the kids when school wasn't in session, every day was more or less a day.

Nothing beats Whataburger! They are the Pride of Texas!

Visit me at Life & Faith in Caneyhead. :)

When the kids were growing up, I was glad to see Monday because they went to school, Cliff went to work, and I had my peace and quiet again. These days, Monday is just another day, although I do remember how it felt when I had a job and had to get back to my work routine.

That patty melt sounds really good. There are a few things like that that I allow myself to indulge in every now and then. I don't guess I'm any bluer on Mondays than I am on any other day, but I usually don't try to plan anything for a Monday, like a doctor's appointment or something like that, mainly because Thomas and Eler Beth are both getting back into the weekly routine, and I find that I do better keeping Monday's simple.
