Just a country girl kicking around the dirt roads taking pictures of trees, gates, animals. cactus, and anything else that strikes my un-fancy mind. You are welcome to take a look and come back if you like.

I Just Had A Stand-Off With Swallows
I'm not sure yet who won. It seemed several birds were all working on trying to make the same nest under my porch. Is that the way they build? I didn't notice that several years when they tried to invade my territory. Don't get me wrong, I love birds. I don't love poop on my small porch or on my one chair with a new pretty cushion. My porch is just too small to share with them. This is the first year they have come back after I fought them off one year. First let me say I would never harm eggs or baby birds but I caught them that year before they got far into building their nest. They really were determined, but so was I so we will see later today.

I don't think you would ever harm anything Paula, but I understand the concern in this.
I hate bird poop on my head too.....or my car windows. I have enough chicken poop around because I'm a "softie" when it comes to my chickens and I let them roam the whole yard. Then the front stoop is always
an exclamation when visitors come. You should hear what the UPS man says!!!!!!
Think I would leave them be and wear an old hat or umbrella for protection. Nature forces them and that's a big boss ...
If you can deter them they will find a good place elsewhere. Sherry was just remarking today at the nests in our RV Port and the collection of poop on the ground. But they were here before we drove in and it is safe from squirrels and snakes.
Funny thing my blog tonight was about birds. LOL
I was lucky, I hardly noticed the robins and then they were gone. The wrens have been checking out the old blog, but I am sort of hoping they skip it. Because they are more shy and I never know if the babies survive.
It's a shame when birds get in the way of our outdoor fun. I hope you can figure out a way to coexist.
I understand wanting
to redirect em
from your lil space
good luck cowgirl!
