Under Stress

I told him so, not once but many times over the years. You have to do something about your closet. When the pole breaks you're on your own. The last time I told him was Sunday, Father's Day. Two more shirts on the rack. I guess that was the final stress, the pole broke this morning, splintered all to pieces. Clothes everywhere, what does one person need so many shirts for? We have a favorite thrift store in San Antonio where we find new or like new clothes and get a senior discount on Monday and Wednesdays. John's daughter-in-law always remembers him with two shirts on his birthday and father's day but she doesn't remember he is not as large as he used to be. Somehow they don't seem to get exchanged. A waste, a sin, well his renter who is a large man has an unexpected bag of shirts on his front porch and John is still working on them. He thought I was going to hop in and start working on them but my butt seems to be glued to the chair. I've been working on my own problem. He will have to learn I've been keeping house for many years and I know when a pole (rack) is under stress.

Hahahaha. I wouldn't help him either, if I had warned him several times. I think that men think if they act helpless, we will pitch right in and take care of the problem. You showed him, huh? :-)

good for you holding your ground. they'll get cleaned up and a new pole will get installed without you having to lift a finger.

You've been working on your own problem? Domestically, or health-wise?

Trying to down size and get rid of "stuff". Health wise fairly well. Go have blood work on Wednesday to see how my platelets are doing after four weeks. Thank you for asking Mary.

I'm married to one who never wants to thin out his closet either. I tend to wear things till they wear out and then wear them around the house.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh, Paula, I LOVE your attitude!!! My motto is: If YOU break it, you fix it!!! Works for Bud, and now I see it works for John. And, I can't help but SIT on MY BuTT and laugh at your post.
