Corn On The Cob

We had corn on the cob among other things for lunch. John said if we had some chickens we could throw these cobs out in the back yard for them to peck on. I said I wonder if the birds would like them. He said probably, so out in the yard they went. Before they hit the ground John's little grey cat pounced on them. I put out chicken bones for Pet the part Siamese and I thought the little grey cat would join her for bones. No, she kept eating until there was nothing left on the cobs. I have never seen a cat eat corn on the cob, have you?

Thank God I can comment on your post - there are a lot I can't anymore.

So I have never seen a cat eat corn on the cob - but I have never seen them eat chicken bones - I thought that they couldn't eat bones.

Who knew?

Love,
sandie

Facebook has cut me off from posting my country pictures, so I will have to bore you all with them on my blog. Everyone has mostly dropped me anyway. Disappointing. Thank you to the nice ones who still read me.

I am sure more read than comment. But That is one smart cat. I pretty well clean a cob, I love corn on the cob. A few years ago we were in Lancaster PA when the corn came in. One Amish farmer brought wagon after wagon to the side of the road selling the ears 10 for a $1.
We nearly foundered ourselves. Someone told me how to do them in the microwave and in a few minutes we ate corn with no silks to speak of left aboard.
I feed Shirls stray cats chicken bones!

Long ago when I was 13 or 14 I used to have a cat that loved eating corn.

I don't make it to your blog every time you post, but I do check in at times. My dog, Gabe, loves most all vegetables. He loves cooked carrots and yes, he loves corn.
