Ponderings Two

This morning John said we must be really mean. Why I ask? well he ponders, all the neighbors are moving out. Today the third moved out but that isn't allll the neighborhood. You know who I will miss the most? The couple's bird. At my age I will take a whistle any way I can get it. They hang it's cage on the front porch and when I work in my yard it whistles at me and I answer. The man is the one who I wrote about when his wife broke her ankle. I ask him how did she break her ankle and he said she fell out of the container. In south Texanese that means storage shed. Humm I pondered that one for a long while. The shed is barely off the ground so how did she fall out? Everytime I trimmed my lantana bushes back he would come over to tell me I was shocking them. How come they are covered with bright orange blooms now? He had the survey stake between my property and his dug up. He checked to see if I had a better a/c unit then his. He didn't like Susie. He turned in the guys who were building houses in the back for playing music. He didn't like the neighbor's dogs. His wife is okay but it takes her an hour and fifteen minutes to get to or from work so in winter she leaves in the dark and comes home in the dark. I seldom see her. Yes I'm gonna miss their bird.

That guy sounds like a real grouch! Good riddance.

Maybe you should buy yourself a bird.

I have a Quaker parrot and he's the friendlist bird a person could have. He squwaks a lot thought. You might want to get yourself one, maybe a small cockateil. *M*

In the winter time when I worked at GM, I left in the dark and came home in the dark. Hated that. Yes, I'd miss the bird too. LOL.

I had a favorite bird too, every time I'd was dishes he used to go crazy tweeting and dancing on the floor of the cage. But then he died. that was sad. rose

I just came and read all your entries i had missed, and laughed at this one. So decided to stop here and comment. I did appreciate your matching costume in one of the first entries, too, reminds me of Doc's and my arguments over getting him to match himself. Oh I hated that sad turtle story. That was so mean. But I am glad the cows and calves are okay. Gerry
