I Think We Saw Santa Claus

John and I are such people watchers, I hope people get as big a kick out of us as we do them. I took him to the doctor in San Antonio today. Because of Macular Degeneration he no longer drives in the city. John completely does not understand city people. He waves and speakes to people sitting on curbs, in cars, walking on sidewalks. I always tell him he is going to get us shot. In the city it doesn't take much to provoke some people who are already angry at the world. Sometime they take a mere nod of the head to mean something that you didn't intend. The Doctor's office is a teaching facility they send him to because of the HMO he is on. He saw three people before he was finished and they always act like he came in on his own when actually they made the appointment and then called to remind him. When we sat down in the waiting room there was a gentleman sleeping near us. He looked so much like Santa Claus with the long curly beard and long hair. He had three large bags with him. John always has to point things out to me as if I am one cow minus a herd. After he indicates the likeness to Santa I start to think. He must be a traveling man. Why would he have those bags with him at the doctor's office? Why was he able to sleep so long sitting straight up? I so wanted to ask him where he had been and where is he going?

Oh my! John must be very close kin to my X. It was almost impossible to shop with him with his pointing out this one and that one. He probably still does the wave thing, too. It could get embarrassing at times. Hope Santa gets good treatment for whatever ails him :)...

you needn't ask where he had been and where he was going.........he has been at the north pole overseeing the making of toys and is heading back to make sure they get packed and ready to go by dec. 25. i hope he gets well and rests up before then.

be blessed,

I don't think the folks that point out the obvious think what it actually sounds like. Sometimes I want to say, You are kidding, I didn't notice she was naked! LOL! Heck, I completely missed that tattoo on his nose and right cheek! I just did not notice he was nine feet tall! LOL
If you see the jolly man again, remind him we don't have a chimney, the door will be fine.

I love talking to people I don't know. I want to to know where they are from, why they are here, and where they are going. I learn so much from talking to people. However here in the city I do keep to myself.

John's a trip! My Dad was the same way. He never saw a person he didn't know. It's a good philopsophy with the right state of mind. I always look at people's shoes to see if there's a fuse sticking out.

Maybe he was a homeless man carrying all his belonging's with him. I sure wish people would wave and smile at people they did not know. No one really does that where I live, you would not get shot but looked at weird.

He was ready to go the Hospital in case the
Dr. wanted him to check in. It couldn't be
Santa that was only enough presents for one
person in today's world. He just came back into town and went by to see the Dr. I would
have had to ask. Now we will never know.
Shucks.

Paul and I play off each other with noticing quirks in people. At times we're like little kids that need someone to scold us to settle down. I do believe before we left there, I would of probably of asked if he knew Santa. If he was related, could he please make sure Pickles and I had plenty of snow Christmas day! *winks* (Hugs)Indigo

What baffled our country boys was traffic lights, so it was terrifying to drive through the city with one of those guys. My dad and his brothers always used to get arrested for runnng red lights. They saw no need to stop for one if nobody was comng. And that part about talking to city people, I had to tell a country BF he was not to go out in my bad neighbhorhood at 11 pm, as I would not be responsible for his death! Gerry
