Lucky Turkey

Tommy stood in his pen thinking about his plight. He could almost feel the farmer and his wife taking the first bite.

He knew Thanksgiving was coming, he didn't know what to do. Tommy thought and thought, but couldn't come up with a clue.

Turkey day they call it, why couldn't it be fish, that seems to me to be the more perfect dish.

I can just picture a pig on a platter on the table. I want to change this tradition if only I am able.

Tommy decided to have a talk with the farmer and his wife, he thought I'll just gobble gobble and plead for my life.

So come Thanksgiving morning, he saw them drive away. Tommy thought, oh what luck, a wonderful Thanksgiving day.

Sorry if you've read this before.

What a fitting end to my Thanksgiving Day! Thank you, Paula! And I sure hope you had a good one. ;o) Tommy would have been safe at our feast, we went with a spiral ham.
