I'm Weird Like That

Yes I know Christmas is over. Well not really as John is out celebrating Christmas today with his family. I begged off to do yard work. I would rather do yard work then eat Christmas cookies unless they are chocolate. This picture is from my widowhood days and you can see how excited we both are to stand side by side but someone insisted. I didn't intend to put this picture here after Christmas. I intended to put it here before Christmas. It would not go here before Christmas so just on a lark I tried it now and it went. Went? lol I forgot to tell you dear journal that a pit bull attacked John when he was walking a few days ago. The dog didn't break the skin because John had on long Johns, thick socks and jeans. The neighbor across the street from where the dog lives came out and shot the dog two times with an air gun or beebee gun. Something that just scared it off. John spotted the animal control truck coming down the street so he tried to wave it down and it kept going. When he got home he called the city. They described the dog and said it had already been picked up. Next day when John walked he talked to the neighbor and he said they didn't pick the dog up. He said the dog was mean and the driver was afraid then the owners of the dog opened the front door and the dog ran in. Humm someone is fibbing here. Either the dispatcher, the neighbor, or the driver of the truck. The dog seemed to be nursing babies but the owners should be responsible. John isn't going to persue it further unless it chases him again. John and I both had to sign an insurance paper that we won't have certain types of dogs so the young man whom we think walks this dog and lets it poop in John's yard won't have to worry about getting dog bit.

People like that shouldn't be able to own a dog. Especially one that bites. Nice picture Paula!

Oh my goodness, Paula, how scary! When I was about 14 a neighbors dog chased me and tried to bite me and I CLIMBED A STOP SIGN! Yes, I did!

I love working in the yard too, but I don't know that I'd pass up cookies of any kind to do it! lol

Love,
Melissa

Paula,

I was going to email you with this, but I don't have an email address for you. I wanted to let you know very much I appreciate your kind loving words and your prayers this past week when I learned of Emily's diagnosis. The love and prayers that have been given to me and for my family is appeciated more than I have the ability to express. What a wonderful community of loving and giving people we have here. If you ever need the favor returned, please, please let me know.

Love,
Melissa

Perhaps John should walk with a BB or pellet gun? Rat shot? or do a Pete and reload a shotgun shell with rice. I don't care much for cookies anymore. And I'm not much on yard work either. Perhaps sitting in the yard sipping coffee! ;o)

I hate irresponsible pit bull owners , that dog should've been shot with .357 magnum

I love your picture with Santa. John should call animal control and complain again. That dog is going to end up hurting someone really bad or killing someone. I hope John stays safe. Helen

Your picture is sweet. I am glad John is okay, I bet that was a scary experience for him. The people who own that dog should be fined & the dog confiscated, there is no excuse for that kind of behavior.

Love you picture. You look like you would rather be anywhere than next to Santa...lol. John should either pursue reporting that dog or be sure he walks with a big stick of something. Next time he may not be so lucky.
Hugs, Joyce

Thanks for dog subject.
I've written more than I may post here, for tonight's journal entry.
And, I've also got a white beard should we meet without our spouses around, Lady. };^D (he he)
