Where Have Pink Plastic Flamingos Gone

I keep a crossword puzzle book in the bathroom and who ever comes along can work a few squares. One question last night was "plastic flamingo place" so I answered yard. Well that didn't match up with the other squares. Of course you probably know it was lawn. Here in the country we just say back yard or front yard because some don't have a lawn. People sure used to have those pink plastic flamingos though. In the front yard or the back or the flower bed or two of them posed around a bird bath as if they were drinking. Don't see them much any more but it made me think of one of my sons-in-law who hated pink plastic flamingos. When his 50th birthday was coming up my daughter wanted to rent 50 pink plastic flamingos and place them around in their front lawn (yard to me) but she didn't. She placed something else funny there and I don't remember what. Just wondered if anyone has seen any pink plastic flamingos lately? I haven't and really don't want to. Just though I'd ask.

Yes...Doug & I were driving around one day and passed a trailer that had quite a few of them perched around their yard. They are the silliest things, I still don't know why anyone would want one.

I say yard. It's the front yard or back yard.

I say yard too Paula. I think Florida is big on the flamingo's and like Lisa mentioned...in trailer parks (or mobile home parks they are called now).

Yes I used to see a lot of them in Florida. I have not seen any here in Kentucky yet but I am sure they are here too. LOL.

I gotta tell ya, our inside one holler is more liking catalog research center on one side and a periodical library on the other. Library more reading material. Like Farm Bureau paper, magazines I'd book marked the pages I've read. Sometimes stumbling upon a picture of occasional interest. Old Testosterone's influence maybe. More liking memory's reminders. Brown eyed dark haired colleens my weakness.

I don't like them! I do not know why either, they are a unique bird and the pastic ones look like them. But they are disapearing in Florida, heck I am glad. Like the new picture too.
Jack.
While I am here and thinking aobut it. I see some working derricks and some stopped, when we travel in Texas, OK etc. Do they stop because there is no more oil, or because the tank is full? Just curious.
Jack again!

OK, you want to see pink flamingoes, go to NJ where, on the lawn of a neighbor, were those 50 birds just sitting there magically nipping at the grass while the sign in front of them said, Happy Birthday!

I don't think I have seen any pink flamingoes
in this little town. I think they are funny just hanging around in the yard. I don't
think I will invest in them right now.
Paula I also know a joke but I am not telling.

YES, I HAVE SEEN THOSE PINK BIRDS---SOMEONE IN OUR PARK HAS TWO OF THEM. THE MEAN MAN ACROSS THE STREET IN MN HAD SEVERAL IN HIS "YARD". ONE NIGHT SOME KIDS MUST HAVE TAKEN THEM AND PUT THEM IN OUR FRONT YARD---HE CAME RUSHING ACROSS THE STREET AND ACCUSED US OF STEALING THEM. I TOLD HIM I DIDN'T LIKE THEM AND IF I HAD STOLEN THEM I SURE WOULDN'T HAVE PUT THEM WHERE HE COULD SEE THEM!! BARB
