The Orange Bull

A word of country advice: If you wallow with pigs expect to get dirty.
You can't make this picture out too well but it is the orange bull on the fence that we pass every Sunday on our way to church. It even has a ring in it's nose. We have been going to this church well over a year and this bull has not moved in all that time. John thinks it jumped the fence and was impaled. We see a lot of strange things on the way to church and usually use our imagination as to the story behind each thing. There is some sort of electrical yard with a high fence around it. Next to it the land is higher so they have taken large white rocks and shored the land up so when it does rain in south texas it doesn't wash the very sandy land away. The first time we passed it John pointed out the rocks to me and said those are river rocks. Now everytime we pass one of us points and says river rocks. Oh well I guess you have to be there to appreciate the joke. lol After church and lunch we went to check on the calves. They all seem to be doing okay. Miss Kitty seems to have come home to stay. She has taken up residence in the old house across the drive from the newer house which isn't new at all. When I call her she comes out of the old house on to the porch and sits there as if waiting to see if its worth her while to see what I have brought for her to eat. She isn't too fond of the cat food Susie doesn't like. I always heard beggers couldn't be choosey. She doesn't look like she has missed too many meals so the renters are probably feeding her when they see her. They were not home so we didn't get to ask how the wild hog trapping is coming along.

I know what you mean about "you have to be there"....nobody, except family, understands about the mile marker on I-95 where MOM and Grandpa had the flat tire......you have to be there!!

Love the orange bull.....one of my favorite colors!!

Enjoy your week.......LindaMay

Okay, so now I know an orange bull jumped the fend and got empaled on a pole. Did they paint a sign on him? The least they could have done.
We are in the hospital. Sherry who always comes here first to tell me what you wrote. She also blew up the picture of the Javelina's to show to Sonny. He liked them, said, "I bet those guys can root!"
He is more alert, hopefully will go to Rehab tomorrow, but this time no one is getting their hopes up.

I clicked on the picture and it enlarged it so you could see the orange bull really good. Funny place to put it though. Glad that Miss Kitty is doing ok.

I can relate, every time we went camping , half way to the campground on the right there was an old house with a bunch of old cars and junk in the yard and Debbie and I would yelll shithole and laugh.

Love the bull. I used to pass a farm house on the way to work (back when I worked). They had one of those big round bales of hay at the edge of the road with legs (wearing jeans and boots) sticking out of the middle of it. It gave me a start at first, until I realized it was a joke.
Hugs, Joyce

The orange bull...is one of those things, like that mosaic house Ian and I found...you really have to find out more about it! There has to be more to this story...very very curious. It is real? Does it stink? Is it decomposing?
