This picture is a row binder, it made bundles of hay before the time of hay balers that make bales of hay. John never used this type equipment but they were used in the days of John's dad farming. Speaking of hay we just got home from putting out one big round bale of hay. It was a messy bale. Good thing we didn't have far to go with it. It was too wide for the hay buggy so it rested on the wheels of the hay buggy. That can start a fire and has before. The bale is such a mess because this hay was baled my a man who had never baled hay to sell before. There wasn't much string holding it together so I didn't have much to do. My job is to cut the string and wind it up and put it in the back of the truck to be thrown away. Someone here mentioned recycling it but I tried that and the garbage man threw it on the ground to the side. We certainly got our vitimin D today. It was hot, sunny, dry, and windy.

I'm glad the bale of hay made it safely to it's destination. We had a chance of thunderstorms today but they missed us...so far...take care, Sheila
