Trouble In the rent house

This is how the farm house yard looked when we lived there now there is not a blade of grass due to the renter's dogs running back and forth. We knew there was trouble brewing but didn't think it would come to this. They are splitting. The female part of the couple told us a lot but it's their personal business so I won't get in to it. She was here once today and we were out there once. Guess there won't be anymore tales of boating in the stock tank or deep ruts in the pasture or gun holes in the grain tank. She is taking Jennie the large German Shepard and he is supposed to take the little dog, Tex, who shares John's tacos. She is taking the white cat and may leave Miss Kitty as she actually came with the house as a mouser. Not sure how attached she is to her. It will be interesting to see who moves in next after a lot of cleaning.
We drove on out to the dam to feed the turtles a little. The dam is fairly dry now. The turtles were waiting calmly but I just have to tell you this cute thing about them. I have come to trust them as they me so I wore my Crocs (open here and there) and they have shoe ornaments on them shaped like little red hearts. Some of the turtles came up to my feet and nibbled on the little red ornaments. John was sitting there watching with sandals on with no socks. I told him he best be careful they may nibble his toes.

I hope whoever gets what animal that they will be treated well. You should have had your camera when those turtles were nibbling on your Crocs. Helen

Ah, the excitement of being the land lord. It does make you sick when you see a place run down. Was that your boots or Johns (with the flowers)?
Hope it all works out. Do you all clean?
TAke care.

My girlfriend is a property manager and she tells me all kind of stories. Man some of these people should have their own t.v. show!

I hope the place is not to trashed.

I hope you get better tenants this time. I feel bad for the animals having to be separated though. That is so cute about the turtles nibbling on your crocs :)

PAULA, I LEARNED THE HARD WAY ABOUT RENTERS.
BUILT A SMALL NEW HOUSE TO RENT OUT.

I LIVED IN IT A SHORT TIME, THEN MOVED TWO HUNDRED MILES AWAY. RENTED THE HOUSE TO GOOD FRIENDS.
DID NOT GO BACK FOR TWO YEARS BECAUSE OF SUPPOSING THE HOUSE WAS IN GOOD HANDS.

WHAT A PITIFUL SURPRISE. THE RENTERS MOVED OUT IN ZERO WEATHER AND PLUMBING FROZE, HAD LEFT MY PHONE NUMBER ON A CABINET DOOR AND INSTRUCTIONS TO CALL COLLECT IF EVER DECIDING TO MOVE OUT.

A NEIGHBOR CALLED AFTER IT WAS TOO LATE, PLUMBING WAS FROZEN, NICE KIRSCH BLINDS TORN UP, HEATING NOT WORKING, KITCHEN FLOOR SOAKING EVEN BEFORE THE PLUMBING FROZE.
I HAD BEEN RECEIVING THE RENT REGULARLY AND HAD BELIEVED THEY WERE A TRUSTWORTHY FAMILY.

I SOLD THE PLACE AT A GREAT LOSS AND MARKED IT OFF AS A LEARNING EXPERIENCE.
BEST CHECK ON PROPERTY EVERY MONTH INSIDE AND OUT EVEN IF IT IS GOOD FRIENDS. sam
