This if where I feed the turtlesright next to this mesquite tree. This morning the turtles were waiting under that tree where the limb hangs out over the water I said I almost promise not to talk about them again. I sit on that ledge and down below by the water is room for them to crawl upon. The cow is not there when I feed the turtles. I don't know if they would be afraid of the cows or not but I would think they would. A big ole hoof might hurt. John's daughter and her mother (yes his ex) are working for him spraying mesquite bushes. They said yesterday when they drove across the tank dam they could see little turtle heads popping up everywhere. Guess they thought the sound of a motor meant food. They got plenty of food this morning. I had my choice of going to San Antonio to eat a Grand Slam or eating a taco and feeding the turtles. The turtles won. Johnny G. there are so many turtles now I can't count them. We drove around some while waiting for the house water tank to fill for the renters. We found the little mama who had a calf and then fed two orphan calves too. The four of them stay together like a little family. All the cattle are holding their own in spite of the drought.
