Hey Jude Scotland Is Burning

I'm fresh out of country tales. Hope I don't get in trouble for posting this picture. Yes the oldest played "Hey Jude" and the youngest played "Scotland Is Burning" and in between they played 45 records such at "These Boots Are Made For Walking" by Nancy Sinatra and then there was that Wayne Newton song they played over and over. They even belonged to his fan club. See the little case behind Lynda's knees? That is full of 45 rpm records. I don't know if you can make out the gossip bench to the right. That is where they talked to their friends. No cell phones. Can you tell that is a stero in back of them. Isn't it pitiful compared to the eletronics now days? That paneling is the paneling Mel wouldn't let me put nail holes in. I can't imagine why. A little two bedroom, one bath, one car garage, house. Two closets until I bought a third cardboard one and put it together myself. Kids have so much more now days but I don't know if that is all good or not. I was shocked to read in the paper today a girl from my school was arrested for cyber bullying.

Wonderful to remember, we will never return to the days of yesteryear, when out of the past came the hoof beats of the great horse Silver, the Lone Ranger rides again!!!!

Yes time passes on. We tried to give our children more than we had, and ours try to give their children more than they had. It cannot be stopped, it seems. Even a recession cannot be a recession, the Gov't borrows money and throws it at the problem.

All that aside the kids are beautiful, memories are great. I love mine and I like to hear of others.

I think my brain has gone into brain drain from remembering so it is good to see someone else that likes remembering.

That's so cute. It looks like nothing else was missing or needed for your family, electronics be damned!

I love to see Children involved in music. That
has been my life. As you get older music become
more fun. It opens lots of doors and is a good
life. Tell them to keep it up.

Great photo Paula but you can't be out of country tails, that's impossible! Cyber bullying is a big thing these days - what a crazy world we live in! Have a great weekend Paula :-)

Awww I love the pictures of the girls. I cherished my little 45's and portable album player as a girl. I sure think we had more fun as kids than todays generation.
