I Hate Dollar Signs

I had no intention of putting this header here again. I have a pretty new red bird but would blogger let me put it here? Noooo. Will they let me put a Happy New Year graphic on my side bar? Noooo So before giving it up I decided just to try anything from my collection and here it is. If you've seen it before forgive me and since some may not have seen it I will tell a little about the old house---- Several years ago John's daughter told him of a relative of her's who owned about 69 acres south of here and wanted to sell because he needed the money. We looked at it before he put it up for sale. We fell in love with it. It was the perfect week-end retreat. It was about 45 minutes away and the roads were very good up to the property. There was wild life and a small pond just behind the old house. I could vision fixing up this old house. Only two rooms and no bathroom, no telephone, maybe electricity. The old porch and its covering was very bad but the house itself was sturdy enough to fix up just for a week-end cabin and the porch and it's roof could be fixed. John then had a larger stock tank dug far from the house. We went out often. I dreamed of a porch with rockers and bird feeders and quiet and peace. Unfortunatly John was seeing dollar signs. One day we were out walking and he got a tick on him. Thats it he said so up for sale it went. I was telling him we could wear flea collars on our ankles. We could only walk in the trails and not in the brush. I think he doubled his money on it. It sold fast. I still think of the cute little curtains I could have hung on the few windows, rocking on the porch listening to the birds sing-----

Yeah, BUT!!!! $$$$$$$$$$$
They do have a way of changing a man's view.
Sherry declares I have changed the other way. I don't mind spending it if we have it.

I tell her we cut corners for a long time to get here, now that we are here, if we have it, we should keepthe economy going.

Don't tell Sherry, BUT Are there any other places for sale? I don't mind ticks! LOL

That would have been really cool to fix up, if you had the $$$$. Flowers even.

I would of absolutely loved that place. No amount of money could of gotten me to sell such a peaceful retreat. (Hugs)Indigo
