We drove over to the strawberry city to the Cowboy Jamboree tonight. The lady who started it has stuck her neck out, has tried and tried but it is going down hill. The people from our town just won't drive over there for it. When she had it in our town there was a room full of people but the Catholic church stopped letting them have their hall or went up on the price, not sure. Most of the people there were people who were in the show or their families. For $6.00 we saw the show, had free sandwiches, chips, dips, cookies, cake, and iced tea or coffee. Oh well maybe people were Christmas shopping. On the way we saw where someone was trying to sell bomb fire wood. I hope they meant bon-fire wood. The chicken place had livers and gizzards for sale. I don't want one liver let alone several. The Christmas lights were pretty on the way home.

Sounds like you had a good time. Seems like she doesn't charge enough at that price to make ends meet. Fun and food on top of that. I can't stand liver of any kind but like chicken gizzards. Have been known to sample turtle meat many many years ago. Helen
Glad you got out for a little relaxation. Looking at our weather forecast don't know if we will get out for anything. Oh well, just Joe and Spunky and me can make our own celebration. Hope I am back to normal , or I should say nearly normal. Glad "you were here" on my blog. Hopefully I am truly feeling better. I did not realize what a drag I was.

Hi Paula...well I am not a liver lover ... and yes...our turtles move along nicely with their nose stuck up in the air and neck out a mile long LOLOL...and seems like a nice show...nice fun for a good price...maybe folks don't realize what they are missing??? advertisement maybe??? and about that "bomb" fire wood...I would be careful if I were you LOL...it just might bomb!!!!! BOOM!!!! Bomb fire wood!! Wish we had some wood now, we could have a good camp fire. Some folk don't know a deal when they see it. Sounds like a good reasonable way to spend an evening.
That is true about sticking your neck out, to advance sometimes you have to do that, but then some times the head get's chopped..... I hope it doesn't happen to the lady about the cowboy jamboree.
