Its A Beautiful Day In South Texas

Its short sleeve weather, warm and a day to empty the rain gauge (five inches worth from two rains). Its a day to scoop out the litter box in the garage and sprinkle that good smelling deodorizer over the litter. A good day to leave the garage door wide open for a while. Its a day to search the yard for signs of wildflowers. I saw several bluebonnet plants in John's back yard. Now to keep him from mowing them down as the weeds are growing too. Its a day to spike my hair with wax and be free. Yes I got that haircut I've always wanted to try. Maybe I should check the hummingbird feeders. They will be back here March 15th. I've filled the bird feeders with seed and some of the old seed was starting to grow from all the rain. Today is the day John plays dominoes all afternoon and I can turn that TV off. Could take a nap but its a shame to waste that beautiful sunshine because we've still got our coldest month to come. It is usually our coldest weather in February when there is an annual stock show and rodeo in San Antonio. Trail riders will be arriving from all directions and they need the cold to experience what our forefathers experienced. Yes its a beautiful day in south Texas and I'm thankful for the way God planned.

PAULA, I LIKE THE NEW PHOTO.
TEXAS IS GREAT. SO MANY DIFFERING AREAS NORTH,SOUTH, EAST AND WEST.
DALLAS IS MY FAVORITE, PROBABLY FROM DRIVING GREYHOUND BUSES INTO DALLAS OVER A PERIOD OF 32 YEARS.
THAT GOOD BARB-E-QUE AT PAUL'S ON CADIZ STREET NEAR THE GREYHOUND GARAGE. sam

I wish nit were nice here but it is not yet. The weather man can not make up his mind. I like to visit Texas when I could when my son and wife were together but we usually went on July when we could get vacation and it was so hot and humid. Head for the air conditioner. Guess I will always live in unpredictable weather.

Oh thank you for sharing your wonderful day! I can't wait until I'm visiting your wonderful state of Texas soon. I'll be in the Ft. Worth area the last week of Feb and first week of March. No matter what the weather will be; I know it'll be warmer than what we have here in Wisconsin.

Glad that you are having a great sunshiny day. We started off with rain and some thunder then the sun came out, then cloudy and windy, now sun is back out. Playing peekaboo. Love you new header picture. Helen

Loved your day, not as much as you, but it was nice. Thanks for taking us along. Can't wait to see a photo of the spiked hair. Is it going to be orange? That will set you free!!!!
From Florida with a short sleeve day also, just not as interesting. (I didn't have any hair to spike!)

Hi Pauline,
I'm glad you've had such a nice day. It's still gray/dark/rainy here but I'm not complaining.
Best,
Marty

I am not even sure how much rain we have gotten. We needed 15 inches. I hope we got it, and I am trying to stay positive but man this weather is really getting to me.

I see another storm is expected in southern CA and that means mud slides. Mother Nature has trouble getting started and trouble stopping. Can't get it just right! Another 2 to 4 feet of snow is expected in Flagstaff, but I hope you got a deluge that was just right!

Now that's a great outlook on a great day. I hope you enjoyed the day!

BTW, does John play dominoes up to double six or double nine?
